How does a student qualify to receive speech therapy in the Voorhees Township School District?

In a school district, speech therapy is provided when speech and language difficulties have an educational impact on the student.

In the Voorhees Township School District, a parent or teacher can always contact the speech therapist at their student’s school to discuss concerns or request a possible evaluation.

Students in specialized programs (preschool-disability classes, autism support classes, language-learning disability classes) often receive speech-language therapy and other related services (as appropriate) as a part of their Individualized Education Plan. Please contact your child's case manager with any questions.

I’m concerned about my student’s speech and/or language, who do I contact?
