• The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20, 2025, marks the 30th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day ON, not a day OFF,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. The Corporation for National and Community Service has been charged with leading this effort for the last quarter-century.

1/15/2024 "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day": Monday is a day of commemoration for a man's dream that is still happening and, for many others has certainly been an incredibly moving reality!  Dr. King is known to many for his famous march on Washington, D.C., and his "I Have a Dream" speech as a means to bring non-violent awareness to our nation. Today, this continues to resonate and ring true for all Americans! In addition, as an extremely educated man, he has been one of the most quoted men in history.  Below, I have shared ten of MLK's often-repeated words...  Choose one that seems to speak to you, and makes you think deeply about our world. AND write reflective thoughts on its meaning and impact on our world today, and/or perhaps, to you personally!
